CH. AFTICAS HANUKKAH von BREAKAWAY

Hanna was my first show Shepherd. She finished her Championship with the help of myself, handler – Ron Peet and breeder - Bob Wright at 9 months of age.

Hanna was a house dog – no kennel life for her. She was my constant shadow to the point of distraction…

Bred twice in her short life, Hanna produced a daughter in her last litter that is so like her in color, it is unbelievable. That daughter is CH WEESKELF TASER owned by Jen Tennant of Perth, Ont.

Another daughter is WEESKELF TRULY A DREAM! Dreamer may not be the same color as her mom, but she certainly has the same characteristics as Hanna! Dreamer, coming up to a one year old has the same habits, likes, dislikes as her mom, so much so, that it is uncanny.

Hanna lost her life one dark wet night when she was hit by a car. She is not allowed to run loose but that night she hopped a 4 ft. fence gate and that was the end of her jumping!

Her breeder – Bonnie Wright – wrote a poem about Hanna’s life. Thank You Bonnie for this remembrance of our Hanna. No matter what some people think – she was loved by many…

 ODE TO HANNA

God sent Hannah to the earth...The sweetest puppy too
and for such a tiny thing, she had so much to do.

She knew she did not have much time upon this earth to stay,
so she did not waste a second; she got started right away.

Her eyes were bright and sparkly, she took in every turn.
She did not miss a single thing, because Hannah came to learn!

God sent her here to touch the hearts of those he could not reach..
She taught them courage, strength and faith, because Hannah came to teach.

Her furry little body was so full of God above,
you felt it when you held her, because Hannah came to love.

Hannah matured into a beautiful young lady, she was awarded Canadian Champion one day,
she even went Skijoring, because Hannah came to play.

In four short years she managed what many never will.
When she went home to Jesus, her purpose was fulfilled.

She learned and taught, loved and played, she learned her lessons well.
I know he was so proud of her when she went home to dwell.

I will bet she tells them all she's good, I am sure they all agree...
I know she thinks that heaven is simply heavenly.

When I miss her oh so much, I can almost hear him say,
please understand, her work was done...
Hannah did not come to stay.
